The new square of NEON IRAION is getting started at last. The project was designed in 2006.
the concept was to recreate the traditional village square , rearranging the elements that compose it and adding elements that declare its contemporary use.
An open theatre is the central element and a flexible projection screen realises a summer cinema, or a distant tribune of a football arena.
The square (an ex parking place for trucks) is placed in such a way to allow a future connection with the Byzantine church of Panagia |

the new block of flats and shops in katakolon is on its way and half of the structrue is already constructed..Till the beginning of september we will be able to see the entire structure and prove to western peloponesse that contemporary architecture is alive!
